Happy New Year!

On behalf of myself and LinuxQuestions.org I’d like to wish everyone a very happy new year. As the year comes to an end, it’s a great time to reflect on the year that passed and look forward to the year ahead. 2007 was another great year for LQ. We successfully performed our first major code upgrade in a couple years, the LQ Wiki hit 3,000 articles, LQ itself hit 300,000 registered members and 3,000,000 posts, LQ ISO facilitated over 5,000,000 downloads – the list goes on and on. I’m happy to announce that we have no plans to slow down in 2008. In fact, we have some very exciting items planned and remain committed to making LQ the absolute best it can be. It’s been a fascinating journey since I founded LQ over 7 1/2 years ago. I look forward to what the new year will bring. I’d like to once again thank each and every member of LinuxQuestions.org. Despite our continually growing numbers, we remain one of the friendliest communities around. Our dedicated mod team is a huge part of that, and a special thank you goes out to them. As I’ve said in the past, much of LQ’s success is directly contributable to them.

May 2008 bring you everything you wish for.

One Response to Happy New Year!

Many good tidings for you and yours, Jeremy! I don’t make resolutions at New Year’s as a rule, but I am going to make an exception to that. I vow to increase my forum participation at LQ, as I’ve not even come close to the comment frequency of past years and that’s shameful on my part. perhaps I’ll start by asking my first ever question…
